Throughout his career, Ashafa has contributed to exploration and environmental projects across Nigeria, working with organizations including Kaduna Mining Development Company, Sunridge Exploration and Mining Services Limited, National Water Resources Institute, Mothercat Nigeria Limited, and Axendit Limited. His experience includes leading Environmental Impact Assessments, geological mapping, mineral exploration, hydrogeological investigations, geotechnical testing, groundwater development, and preparing technical documentation to support mining investments and sustainable infrastructure projects.
