Gold & Industrial Mineral Exploration Programme

Project Overview

Participated in a multidisciplinary exploration programme aimed at identifying economically viable gold and industrial mineral deposits, including marble, within the Isanlu mineral belt, Yagba East LGA, Kogi State.

My Role

• Worked as part of the exploration team responsible for geological mapping
• Structural interpretation and geochemical sampling
• Target delineation

Scope of Work

• Reconnaissance geological survey
• Detailed grid mapping
• Soil geochemical sampling at predetermined depths
• Structural geological mapping and interpretation
• Identification of mineralized structures and alteration zones
• Geophysical surveys to determine the depth and continuity of mineralized bodies
• Trenching across priority targets to obtain fresh rock samples for laboratory geochemical analysis

Project Outcome

The integrated geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets enabled the delineation of several prospective exploration targets, providing valuable information for follow-up drilling and resource evaluation.
