Project Overview

Contributed to a two-month exploration programme focused on evaluating the tin mineralization potential of the Kudaru area within the Nigerian Younger Granite Province, Lere LGA, Kaduna State.

My Role

  • Participated in geological mapping and field investigations
  • Structural interpretation
  • Exploration target generation

Scope of Work

  • Detailed geological field mapping across rugged terrain
  • Investigation of active artisanal mining sites to understand existing mineralization trends
  • Structural mapping of granitic terrain and hydrothermal veins
  • Rock and soil sampling
  • Geological interpretation to identify favourable mineralized zones

Key Findings

The exploration programme identified high-potential tin mineralization associated with hydrothermal quartz veins hosted within granitic rocks. Based on geological evidence, several priority targets were recommended for detailed geophysical investigations and seismic studies to define the depth, geometry, and lateral extent of the mineralized bodies before drilling.
